By purchasing and participating in a Tour in a Box experience, the customer (“Participant”) agrees to the following terms:
1. Self-Guided Experience
Tour in a Box products are designed to provide a self-directed, recreational experience. Participants are solely responsible for navigating the route, interpreting clues, and making their own decisions during the activity. No real-time supervision, instruction, or live guidance is provided.
2. Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge that the experience involves physical activity in public spaces, including walking, crossing streets, and interacting with the built environment. By choosing to participate, the Participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with these activities, including (but not limited to) trips, falls, minor injuries, and interactions with traffic or crowds. Tour in a Box shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation.
3. Environmental and External Factors
Tour in a Box makes reasonable efforts to ensure its routes are publicly accessible, safe, and relevant at the time of publication. However, the company is not responsible for any disruptions or deviations resulting from weather conditions, construction, local events, closures, or changes in public access that may affect the route or specific points of interest. Participants are expected to adapt their route as needed using reasonable judgment.
4. Accessibility and Suitability
Not all routes or locations may be fully accessible to individuals with limited mobility or other conditions. It is the responsibility of the Participant to assess the suitability of the experience for their own physical abilities or preferences. Product descriptions are provided to assist in that assessment but do not constitute a guarantee of universal accessibility.
5. Use of Materials
All Tour in a Box materials—including printed clue cards, instructions, and associated content—are protected by intellectual property laws and are intended solely for the personal use of the purchasing party. Reproduction, resale, distribution, or public performance of the materials without prior written consent is prohibited.
Return Policy
At Tour in a Box, we aim to ensure customer satisfaction while recognizing that travel plans may change unexpectedly. Our return policy covers two primary situations:
1. Cruise Itinerary Changes
If your cruise, as documented at the time of purchase, is canceled or no longer scheduled to visit the specified port, you may request a full refund. To initiate a return under this policy, please provide documentation verifying the itinerary change or cancellation.
2. Standard Returns
Customers may also initiate a return within 7 days of receiving the product, provided the item remains unopened and in its original condition. Return shipping costs in this case are the responsibility of the customer.
To request a return, please contact us at hello@tourinabox.com with your order number and reason for return. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the returned product has been received and inspected.
